Affirmative Consent

We take consent seriously at FetCamp and are firm believers that NO means NO, and we really prefer an enthusiastic YES if the answer is YES. Ambiguity is not sexy!

Affirmative consent is a voluntary, and mutual decision among all participants who engage in any form of BDSM or sexual activity. Consent should be given by words or actions, that create clear permission and willingness to engage in the activity. Silence or lack of resistance, does not demonstrate consent.

  • Consent or prior consensual sexual activity between parties does not constitute consent to any further sexual act beyond what is negotiated in that moment.

  • Consent cannot be given when either person is incapacitated or lacks the ability to knowingly choose to participate in an activity. An individual cannot consent if they are unconscious, asleep, coerced, under the influence, restrained, forced or under threat of harm.

  • When consent is withdrawn or can no longer be given, sexual activity must stop.

  • The definition of consent does not vary based upon a participant's sex, orientation, gender identity, or expression and consent may be withdrawn at any moment for any reason.

If you have had a consent violation, please bring it to the attention of a camp counselor and it will be addressed immediately.  Anyone found to be a consent violator will be removed from the event.
